Manual Therapy

Manual therapy is a physical treatment used to treat musculoskeletal pain. It mainly includes kneading and manipulation of muscles, joint mobilization, and manipulation. They are primarily used to increase the range of motion and mobility and decrease pain in muscles and joints.

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage centers on realigning the deeper layers of connective and muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic body tension patterns through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the tight areas, either following or going across the muscles, tendons, and fascia fibers.

Sports

Sports massage is proven to release and reduce muscle tension, improve circulation and encourage the removal of waste products such as lactic acid before, during or after high intensity activities and can help relax the body. All of this helps promote recovery and reduces the chance of injury.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release or trigger point helps treat skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood and lymph circulation, and stimulating muscle stretch reflex.

Emotional Release Massage

Recommended for clients that are actively seeing a physiotherapist, psychologist, or psychiatrist as you may need to discuss with your counselor the feelings that emerge from your session. In emotional release massage, various pain-free techniques through massage, stretching and energy flow engage areas of the body to invoke memory associated with the initial trauma. Allowing clients to release physical tension in the body caused by the trauma, decreasing the impact of triggers, and increasing restful sleep patterns.

Craniosacral Massage

Craniosacral is a gentle hands-on technique that uses a light touch to examine membrane movement and the movement of the fluids in and around the central nervous system. Relieving tension in the central nervous system promotes wellness by eliminating pain and boosting health and immunity.

Couples

In a couple’s session, two people can get a massage simultaneously. Both people are in the same room and can choose the type of session that fits their individual needs.

Cupping

Cupping uses a cup to pull an area of skin into a suction that decompresses muscles and connective tissue. This promotes blood flow to the compressed area, enhances circulation, and helps to increase the body’s healing process.

Himalayan Hot Stone

The Himalayan Salt Stone Massage is a luxurious treatment that promotes detoxification, healthy energy levels, muscle function, and enhances sleep quality. The pink Himalayan salt stones offer relief from chronic allergies, skin conditions, and reduce breakouts. It includes aromatherapy, a full-body magnesium-infused massage, and a scalp massage. This treatment is perfect for relaxation and de-stressing, and is also great for first-time massage recipients.

Kinesio Taping

Kinesio Taping is a healing methodology based on neurophysiological mechanisms and mechanical stimuli on the body. The method uses four types of Kinesio Tex Tapes designed for fragile or sensitive skin and applied with different tensions. The technique was invented in Japan in 1979 by Dr. Kenzo Kase and has been refined through decades of research and clinical validation.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the use of plant-derived essential oils to promote physical and psychological well-being, often in combination with massage and other therapeutic techniques. It is a complementary therapy that can support conventional treatment of various conditions, but does not provide a cure for diseases or illnesses.

Paraffin Wax

Paraffin wax is a petroleum-based wax that holds in moisture, sloughs off dead skin cells, and helps reduce pain and loosen up joints before exercise. It’s also beneficial for those with conditions like fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis, as it provides thermotherapy to relax soreness, increase blood flow, and reduce swelling.

Infrared Sauna

Infrared saunas operate at a lower temperature than traditional saunas and are claimed to directly heat the body more effectively. Benefits include detoxification, skin health, athletic performance, injury recovery, immune system health, mood and brain health, cardiovascular health, and anti-aging effects.

Assisted Stretching

Stretching as a healing technique isn’t a new concept. The benefits of assisted stretching can include an increase in flexibility, boosting energy levels, managing stress, and much more. We offer small group guided stretching and one on one guided and passive stretching.
